Thank you for writing about this! I believe it’s a cultural / nurture thing. Most men are taught to be stoic, emotionless, self-sufficient essentially from birth. Women are told we are weak, needy and can’t survive without help from men, from birth. Women might be more in touch with feelings and seeking help with them while men might be more in touch with doing and working and survival. Broad generalizations I realize, but may explain some of this. I’d love to see things change and come more into balance on both sides.
